When quoting a novel, would you italicize it or put it into quotation marks?

Bruno Galasso: titles of books should be underlined

Ty Kirton: Italicize. You can also underline, but italicizing is preferred (and is quite possibly required, depending on your teacher). Quotation marks are used when referring to magazine articles, short stories, or any other anthologized shorter work.

Dexter Gold: When you mention a novel by name, you put that title in italics. When you quote from it, or from anything, you put the words in quotation marks.
