If you begin a habit of tricking out of sticky situations now, it may continue later if you do home-school and you have a situation you don't like.I think you should talk with your parents about this situation, and be honest with them about lying and why you do not want to go to school. First, fix your methods of dealing with this situation. Secondly, come to a decision with your parents. Maybe your family could go to Chicago this year? Maybe finish out the year and then home-school? If the only way you could go to Chicago would be to stay in school, then it depends on how much you want to do it. But if you decide to stay in school to go to Chicago, you should do so with a cheerful, persevering attitude.
