Will a doctor tell me if all these medicines, vitamins, and supplements work well together and won't interact?

Lewis Ranft: 1

Forest Duttinger: The average storefront DOCtor doesn't have a clue, nor does he care about vitamins or diet for the most part. You have to find a doctor who thinks like you do, such as a naturopath or an MD who is nutrionally inclined and not afraid of drug companies thugs and bullies.

Gaylord Barragan: Mr. James, respectfully, I'm going to have to ignore your answer based on its antiquated philosophy and also your profile picture. You don't exactly portray a shining image of health sir. Thank you for trying though.Otherwise, thanks everyone for the comments. I will be in touch with a pharmacist shortly. I was really hoping that a doctor searching around this site could be of some assistance though....Show more

Hai Biggart: How can you take all that trash and still eat? But yeah a Doctor will probably tell you to stop wasting your money on most if not all that crap. Diet supplements are the latest stupid fad. Here's a plan, stop taki! ng any of the crap. Eat three modest well balanced meals a day for a month. Bet you will feel a lot better.

Willis Liburd: I would think a Pharmacist would be more up on medications and would be able to help you. When I have questions like you have I fax them to my pharmacist and he faxes the answers back to me.

Toya Braskett: Also, I'm 6' 3".

Edmund Rappley: I agree with most that a medical doctor wont be able to help you much unless that doctor is interested in alternative medicine and nutrition. I know many doctors that I work and train, many of them never take a nutrition class in their Medical career or during medical school. A pharmacist might help, but their knowledge is limited on OTC and Prescription and not much on supplements. If you want, consult a dietitian or a nutritionist that can help you better. To understand how supplements work and interact with each other, act in your body, impact your cell then you need some background in Biochemistry! . Here is my advice based on experience in personal training, ! bodybuilding, and supplement consultation:1. I am not sure what is your goal from these supplements. the first thing I would ask you is to specify your goal: do you want to lose weight? bulk up? add muscle? think better? improve overall health? improve you memory? If you specify your goal you can get better and more specific help.2. Overall your selection is great with few exceptions: - Why would you take Ibuprofen (800mg x 2/day for back pain and joint aches)? If you want a natural pain reliever and anti-inflammatory then there are other natural alternatives that you can take. Fish oil and Glucosamine which are already on the list should help a lot, though their effect takes some time before you notice results. Too much Ibuprofen can cause ulcers, stomach pain and upset stomach which defeats the purpose of you taking Nexium. - I am not sure about Hydroxycut, first you are taking 1 pill, which defeats the purpose of taking it knowing you are 6'3 (I am sure you are more t! han 170lb) which means you need more than one pill. Regardless, if your goal is to lose weight then you have it covered with the Fiber, Fish Oil, Green Tea, and CLA. Save your money and dump the hydroxycut. IF you want a good stimulant for the gym, then you already have No-Xplode which is loaded with stimulants.Adding the below items is great especially the Fiber and CLA. I think they are a great addition to your regiment. I would also add Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) around 300 mg daily as it is a powerful antioxidant and has many benefits. You might use ALA instead of Coenzyme Q10 or add to it if you wish.- Coenzyme Q10 200mg- Glucosamine w/ Chondroitin 1500mg/day- Selenium 200mcg/day - Vitamin E(d-alpha tocopherol) 400IU/day- Fiber 2g/day- CLA 1000mg/day...Show more
