Mario Stricklan: i would say medical assistant, you do more than just work with a patients mouth all day. i would look at the MA page a PureMedicalJobs.com and as MA there is some potential to become office manager etc. just my opinion
Dulcie Edis: Medical Assistant is a better choice. You can go actually further in education after a program for an M.A. With dentistry, you can't actually step up, the step afterwards is to basically be a dentist. But with an M.A, you can go to different titles of Nursing. Plus, you would enjoy it more with all the different cases you would see. And there are more jobs available for M.A's. My personal opinion is medical assistant is way better than a dental assistant. But your choice, good luck!
Anibal Scheid: They both get paid about the same. Depends on your interests.I say go for the 2 year dental hygienistt program instead of assistant so you can make double the money.
