And you'll also be able to ask him questions before and after the extractions.I'm not a dentist, and you shouldn't trust strangers' opinions on the internet when it comes to medical stuff. But I can tell you a few things that happened to ME when I got my wisdom teeth removed.Th! e dentist told me that I couldn't have alcohol, spicy foods or anything hot. Chewing was painful, so soft foods are great. They gave me vicoden for my pain, 5mg tablets. Dry sockets are when the blood clot falls off or gets dissolved and the hole in your gums can't heal properly, it's excruciatingly painful and can be avoided by not using straws, not smoking and not eating/drinking anything hot. I was swollen and sore for about a week afterward but after that I was fine!I did some googling and found a few good websites that may help you. http://www.animated-teeth.com/tooth_extractions/t6...http://www.dentalgentlecare.com/extraction_post-op...http://www.mynewsmile.com/dental/tooth_extraction....... answers 2:I have no idea how long it takes, but afterwards you feel stoned, that's when you need to fall asleep for the ride home. Since you're 14 they will most likely put you to sleep. The IV doesn't hurt unless you have a low pain tolerance, I watched them do it and I didn't e! ven feel anything. Yeah sure, it left a few bruises, oh well. ! Afterwards, when you get home, your mouth will be bleeding, and you'll probably be begging for pain medication. Don't cry, that makes the bleeding worse. You're gonna wanna eat soft foods like mashed potatoes, ice cream, pudding, and yogurt. You should stay off school for at least 3 days. Get as much as rest as you can, I slept almost the whole day when I got mine out. I lived on the couch for the 4 days I missed school. For the pain to go away, about two weeks, to be able to open your mouth as wide as before the surgery, about a month. I'm thirteen, and got mine out in may. Oh I forgot to mention, if you play an instrument, don't play it for a week, and when you start playing again, take it real easy....answers 3:Stop Infections Heal Teeth - http://DentalBook.uzaev.com/?NTQF answers 4:Other questions:can you brush your teeth? use toothpaste?wear a retainer?
