Frederick Mccoach: I would buy a 4 channel amp rated at 50w x 4 at 4 ohms. Get one that has preamp outputs so he can add a 2nd amp to power his sub in the future. I would suggest that you go to Crutchfield.com. They sell all types of car audio and are very helpful. You can talk to one of their reps, and they can help you with any question that you have and recommend the right amp for you.
