Lanita Reichman: A prison complex for wild animals is not "conservation."
Alexandria Popik: i dint know any place for you to look up but i think that zoos are important in conservation because it gets us interested in the animal species and it can make us take some action towards helping wildlife
Len Bormes: yeah, keep in mind that while zoos can play an important role in conservation, that role can also be made to seem a lot more helpful than it probably is. zoos are usually just an economic enterprise. on an individual basis, the animals are not in their natural habitat, no matter how hard zookee! pers work to emulate it. on a species level, genetic diversity and behavior learned in the wild can be lost, etc.
