Dorine Nurre: Most (NOT ALL) states in the USA require you to have a minimum amount of LIABILITY insurance on ANY motor vehicle that is operated on public streets and highways. That includes motorcycles and even Mopeds. Bottom line... If it needs license plates, it needs insurance.
